This award winning play featured Josie Lawrence and Anita Dobson when it opened to great acclaim at The Royal National Theatre in 2002, before transferring to Broadway in 2004 for a very successful run.
Drawn together by horrific circumstances, Nancy the mother of a murdered child, Ralph, a loner looking for some distraction and his psychiatrist Agnetha are drawn together by horrific circumstances. They embark on a long, dark journey that finally curves upwards to the light.
“Frozen” is a brilliant and extraordinary play that explores our capacity for forgiveness, remorse and change after an an act that would seem to rule them out completely.
“A very fine play…….It takes your breath away.” Observer
“Consistently surprising and even bravely comic….. the almost thriller- like promise of this play is like a time bomb ticking in the back of your head. A must see.” The Independent
“A major play…thrilling, humane and timely.” The Times
