In an Oldham pub on the day hanging is abolished, pub landlord, Harry, is being interviewed by the local paper about his thoughts on the subject.
Harry is also England’s second best hangman behind Albert Pierrepoint, one time Oldham resident and Britain’s most famous executioner.
When a young man appears from out of town, things start to turn decidedly dark in this award-winning comedy.
